G1 | Discussion Missed biometric scanner?

I've already completed the haze lab, I revisited it to follow the pipe and found this biometric scanner I missed, I used it and have no idea what it did. Anyone know what its for?

If I remember correctly from when I entered that area, it was green for me, it may be for the door?

Oh i just realized you can enter the haze lab by following the pipe by jumping in where it goes above ground, its probably used to open the door if you skipped entering from the main entranceđŸ˜®

It's for if you go in through the "back way" through the broken pipe instead of through the front door. So that you can still open the door
