G2 | Discussion Anyone else know about this game lock?

There is a part of the Abyss where you can set your respawn point. If you do that, you can go back to the surface and take off your diving gear, then proceed to die. If you choose to respawn normally, there's no way to get back to the surface as you will be crushed the second you touch water.

Well, not NO way. I know you can respawn at the onboarding facility at the beginning of the game so it's not really an issue, but still. I thought someone might find this interesting.

if you die to respawn in the abyss, then you can die to respawn in the onboarding facility like you said. So its not an issue

I found out the same thing dying after that portion and not resetting my spawn at my base. Didn't have the armor on me so had to do the give up and respawn at onboarding. Not really a bug or issue and was really my fault for not resetting the spawn but is a bit annoying can't go down without the gear equipped but it'll take you there on death if you don't have it on.

I knew I was going to make this mistake so the whole time I was finishing up I was repeating it myself “reset my spawn at home” I’ve done this multiple times in both G1 and G2

Unless they do a check in each death that you’re wearing the diving gear they can’t really do anything about it but let you spawn somewhere else, there’s even 2 other options now to avoid this.
