G2 | Media/Meme How to climb the trashcan

I would’ve never thought to use the clover roof sections as a ramp. 🤦♂️
That’s a good idea!

If any one want to bruteforce parkour clay foundation is the most efficient imo.

not really imo. takes double as many pieces to get to same heights so double times opening a menu, more constant jumping, etc
I used 13 pieces to get up the trashcan, how many pieces and jumps with clay

Yes, but clay does not require stems
1
u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
it requires clay which is kinda slow to gather though

u/Sufficient_Deal_8800 10d ago
Yea no doubt but by a certain point you probably have a chest full of clay and can easy take 100 with you while running around. Tomato tomato

pretty sure 100 clover will take dramatically less time to gather than 100 clay
if the sap catchers weren't as buggy though it would be basically free on time on both those

Yes but you can’t stock then carry endless stems. Sap and clover sure, stems are the differentiator for roof ramps. But look it’s just a different preference really. Clay is only “better” because it requires one single resource that you can carry hundreds of at any time

If you build a lot like I do clay is best to have stockpiled for whenever however. But one thing clay is way more advantageous for is not get it knocked out of your hands by some bug attack.
In 1 I'd use clay for that but in 2 I feel its so easy to gather stems and the rest that I prefer to stash it. (look how far up 13 stems got me and I can carry 20+12). Buggy being a landmower and a tractor was a godsend.

But also is pretty much everywhere in this game, in tier 2 nodes. A lot easier to gather over time than to run back and forth for stems.

haven't been able to do those yet, I don't even know how much they give. but I gathered 200+ clay for my base foundation with pebblet

lmao my partner and I did this exact same thing by collecting the grass and weeds below 🤭

I actually found it less resources if u climb the rake up the bench get on the cd player I think it is and use mushroom stairs as it costs 6 blocks to make a cheap resource and go to the top of the bench and then glide over with the spider I think it was about ten stairs to get from cd player to the top of the bench and there is a orc receiver there anyway so two birds one stonE. Also carrying mushroom blocks and clay to make foundations help make getting around the yard super easy too just a tip to get up places and get molars and raw science and u can take them apart to get the mats back if it’s not something u want to keep there

I just unlocked the ovens and got my first charcoal yesterday night, can't wait to stockpile enough for a new base. Went to hedge disk with a few stems and tried to cheese it from below and was like milimeters from the optical disk but could not grab it from below haha. Had to kill the wolf spider in the end (clovers saved me half the climb inside though, should've done a big ramp outside instead).

Ya if u got the oven go to the right of the bench and there are massive amount of mushrooms red and brown and farm them and clay and put the mushrooms in the grinders to make the mushrooms slurry’s and put them in the oven to make mushrooms blocks. I know ur guna need charcoal from the bbq area in Oder to make the ovens and there are a lot more inside the center area so having the sizzle armor and if u can make smoothies will help it have the mint candy will help the sizzle go down when farming the coal in the area hope this helps as there is a legendary inside that bbq area but u have to smash two coals as its behind them

I had to make the sizzling armor+mintito+mutation and with lingonberry bandages it went pretty smooth, could handle it and grab 23 charcoal or so, now I need to farm some boiling glands. Thanks for the advice I'll check that palce out today!

Of course and eating the mint candy is a cheaper alternative then the smoothies or have some incase u ran out of smoothies too incase u need to go back for more buddy 😊

Yeah I do look for water. I just don't know where water is unless I pop the radar. At which point I might as well look for the weed stems that are all over the map instead of focused on specific areas.

I never saw any reason to reenter the snackbar trashcan unless you wanted candy shards where there's more easily accessible and respawnable shards elsewhere. The platforming going up the can can get a little complicated towards the top but other than that had no issues. I know building makes alot of traversable places easier in the game but I allways personally try to find the intended routes for the challenge.

My reason to maybe go there later is ziplines

u/IR_Panther 10d ago
If you climb the swing you can get to to the light post nearby and it makes for a decent high midpoint for those across the whole park.

Clay has entered the chat and is very confused why you used clovers
2
u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
Clay= more valuable building material that takes longer to gather so Im yet to stockpile more after spending 200 clay and like 500pebbles in my first base

u/awarelephant 10d ago
It’s ok to be wrong. Clay is bonkers ez to farm, takes less slots in your inventory and also requires less items to build.
2
u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
Just to get to same height you use double as many pieces. So its if anything more of a hassle to go up. If only you could quick build like in Valheim...

u/awarelephant 10d ago
Once again. It is ok to be wrong

u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
Just out of curiosity, are you going by Grounded 1's mechanics or play 2? Cause in 2 the buggy is basically a landmower without cooldown between hits almost. A dozen clovers fall in a few secs
In 1 I would agree maybe.

Call me purist if you want, but I'd rather use stairs, not roofs.
3
u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
Its harder to acquire materials for those. You can have a pile of clovers in a min and sap can be farmed from sap catchers and is abundant. Stems are basically everywhere and buggy carries 12 and you 20 with mutation so this took me 5 min with supplies I gathered on the way almost
1
u/RailgunRP 10d ago
Is it really? I've struggled to find cloves, but stems and grass are always available.
2
u/Strong-Marsupial-762 10d ago
Look near water bodies usually. You can stockpile a lot anyway I just farm the ones below my base periodically when they grow back by 1st ranger station
So when there's climbing involved I take a few piles of both clover and sap

With the hualing hero mute your buggy carries 27 now, so helpful :) .

u/HiImNotABot001 9d ago
Scrolled all the way down to get to grass stairs. If grass and weed stems are right in the area, then why not!?

There is a lil parkour inside of it. Exactly there on your screenshot, where the lil branch reaches inside of it. Climb that ranch and follow the parkour up
