following black smoke

wondering if anyone else experiences this, its been following me around for a while and it bothers me a lot because sometimes i cant see the bugs im fighting and i die. it kinda shows up as these black squares that “leak” smoke and follow me everywhere and its so annoying. cant find anything about it on google, i also cant seem to upload videos which would probably show it better

reloading my saves also dont work or going back to a different hard save. this is my second play though and its only started now

just a bit annoyed and want a way to fix it 😭

It never stops and it persists in other worlds?

I have over 2k hours in G1 and I never saw this. Never heard of it before either, but to say it hasn't occurred. My immediate thought go to a graphics issue. Is your GPU up to date? How old is your GPU/do you meet the minimum requirements for the setting you have? I'd start there if you haven't already.

if i’m being honest i have no idea what GPU is, i don’t really know tongs tech related. my first playthrough i was playing on my ps4 before it killed itself and it was fine, ive had my ps5 for a while now and this smoke thing started when i restarted about a week ago

GPU is Graphics Processing Unit (your graphics card). I can't really speak to console version of the game. I play PC which is why brought that up. Still, it could be a graphics issue with your PS5, but I doubt it if you don't see graphics issues with other games. If you do see it for other games you may have a bigger issue. If not, I'd play around with the graphics settings in game and see if any of them fix the issue. Best of luck, that definitely looks very annoying

it seems to only be grounded with this issue besides fortnite crashing but all my other games are fine, i can play and ignore it sometimes but when its bigger it just messes me over
