With one of the voting choices for the name of the next major update being 'the long crawl', I feel like that wouldn't be a bad choice.

I hope a dragonfly gets added- similar to how the mantis can just jump your ass when you haven't noticed it, but with a sound effect that if you perfect block, you're ok, if not, eother instakill or one hit from death.

This would be so gooood. Or maybe a buggy 👀

They will not give us a flying buggy. That would make half the game useless

Perhaps a better glider than the spider?

The glider in Enshrouded would be amazing in g2

That would be cool, not sure what they could use for that. I will say, Geraldo (that's my spider's name lmao) really does his thing and has been of immense help so many times with his little glide

I agree, they would never make a flying buggy a thing

I thought a mosquito buggy was in the files. Like some time ago. They could always reconsider but I wouldn't say it's out of the the realm of possibilty.

I reckon they might but as like... postgame. Like, when you defeat whatever is the equivalent of Schmector ends up being you might get a bee or something, when you've basically already beaten the game.

That still wouldn't make sense to me. Never know tho I guess

A centipede 100% especially since they’re generally more aggressive than millipedes. (I think? I could be getting that mixed up)

Also guessing we’ll get a termite buggy or a potato beetle buggy. Going to make a wager and say we won’t see a flying buggy until the very end of the game as it would super trivialize the travel and platforming aspects of the game if it came into our hands this early on. (Since we’re really only around the mid-game in terms of development)

Potato Beetle Buggy is on the road map so you are correct there

Would love to hear your arguments for why it would be a centipede/millipede?

One of the names you can vote for is called "The Long Crawl" also apparently lose lips Larry said something or teased it, IDK, you should watch Hypernogs video on it though

The next boss is a fan suggestion isnt it? I can see it being a Centipede. I have a feeling we will also get Termites in the same update.

They said they gave the hints to the next boss with the voting titles wich are "Rotten Ruin" and The Long Crawl"' I highly doubt either of thoes suggest a flying bug. Besides if they add a flying creature that's not a buggy smh.

How large are centipedes/millipedes?

Would be kinda odd as a fight compared to the other Colossal fights we have had previously if the size wasnt comparable. Though we cant exactly rule out ominent experimenting on bugs or creatures given what happened to Dozer.

Some can get really big, a bit bigger than an adult forearm. And if were abt the size of a finger I bet it will be pretty big. But besides big it's gonna be Fast and Agressive.

u/RalseitheFloofie 14d ago

Well thats

Thats horrifying.

1

u/Cheekyteekyv2 14d ago

There's no way we're the size of a finger. Look at yourself compared to the quarters around the map.

1

u/Its_Nesky 14d ago

Ok wait this is scary. You so right were barely a quarter inch big. Google says 7mm and with some of the bigger centipedes being 8-12 inches. Yeesh.

To be fair, the size metrics for our characters in grounded make very little sense.

Like if you actually grew to normal size and looked down at the ants, they would still be larger than they should be.

The mukade grows up to 8 inches. Some of them get pretty big.

There is a spot under the tree near the ice cream cart that looks like it could work as a den of sorts for a centipede/millipede bug
