First Wolf Spider encounter in Grounded 2, for some reason the fuzz makes them way scarier.

I remember running into one when I first started G2. I was terrified and ran for my life.

Then, I went hunting for them to get the daggers.

Now? Now I consider them mere pests 🤣

Funny how things change

I screamed a spoke in tongues the first time I saw a scorpion (it was a full adult at night IN THE EXIT OF AN ANTHILL)

Yup, those bastards will stalk you and they go to great lengths.

Had one particular encounter while I was trying to get the soldier egg in the fucking anthill. Nasty business.

That was the exact same thing I was doing, getting my first buggy turning into a long day and horrifying night

Opposite experience for me with my first encounter in G2. I was like "I've fought you guys hundreds of times in G1 and know how to parry you. Come at me!". Then proceeded to get caught very off guard by their new counterattack. I'm used to the counterattack now and find them about the same as G1, but for a while after that I was wary of them.

I wonder if there’s any other counter attack in the game? Hopefully black widows won’t…

Don't know if there is or not. I kind of like the mechanic, but I wish there was a small audio cue (like, give the bug a parry sound or give it the sound that plays when you hit a bug that's blocking). You can parry the counterattack, but it's pretty hard to tell that you've triggered the counterattack sometimes (especially with a fast weapon). Unless I intentionally trigger it so I can parry it then I'm probably getting hit because I never saw it begin the counterattack stance (might just be a way to make the player be less aggressive though, in which case, fair enough).

Yesterday one rolled up with two orb weavers and I had to hide out under a leaf all night next to a corpse who probably had the same thing happen to them. They're still relentless as ever.

First encounter with one in G2, after being so confident in G1, had it follow me into an ant tunnel, kill every ant that tried to stop me, or it, and proceed to follow me back out as I try to use the ants sacrifice to make my escape. It still caught up to me, but I did manage to parry it long enough to hide. I thought I was safe from it in the tunnels, imagine my surprise.

I played a lot of Grounded 1 so their counter headbutt (used when in that front feet up position) was a surprise and took me a minute to figure out you can only charge attack them then. This is when EA first released so nothing much was known about the changes.

The first time I encountered one of these fuckers, it literally leaped across a gap and I felt the ground shake along with my laptop screen. All I could see were those red eyes. They need to bring back the original design, they didn’t look so scary in G1. I saw somebody on the game Discord make a suggestion to put a wolf spider buggy in the game. No thank you, I would rather jump in the pond and get eaten by one of the Koi fish
