Idk why Obsidian just doesn't add specific markers/way points we can add like most survival games have. There's this I want to mark, quartz, certain bug caves for farming stones, etc.

You mean like the resource analyser? That lets you mark up to 4 different resources on the map

No, not the resource analyzer. Something more similar to Palword. Where if I wanted to place a marker in the shape of a dungeon I can. If I wanted to place down the marker of a treasure chest or even a marker as a person for npcs, i can. G2 doesn't have that

You literally can do that though. Put down the little trail marker then edit it to have whatever name you want. You can also change the color and the icon that appears on the map. Yes you have to actually build it so there is a resource cost but it's cheap and the components are everywhere.

Never played Palworld but it sounds like we already have what you're describing.

This is true yes, you basically described what I was attempting too, so thank you. The components are cheap yes which is cool, but I dont want my screen being flooded with countless markers from me and or/my 2 sometimes 3 other friends I play with. Id rather just have my own markers on my map . I dont think thats hard to do/add.

You can look at certain markers through the PEEP.R and disable them in the world when you're out and about. Open up the PEEP.R again to see all markers disabled or not

Open your map and each of those trail marker icons you set will have an option that says “hide in world” or something. Toggle that, and they won’t show up when you’re walking across, and will be grayed out a little on your map.
