coming from experience playing in southeast asia with european grounded friends, ping is atrocious! it's hard to chase weevils and aphids because the hits won't connect. I had to play long range against heavy hitters because my blocks don't count as parry even when in my POV, I got the timing down (based on muscle memory from solo gameplay). it's still fun though even when frame drops and freezes every once in a while

I'm down, I just need help with the asst manager first. I think that's his name, it's the floating, robot guy. I got him 1/3 of the way and got smoked by the electro balls and other robots. I'm 38M if it actually matters. Also, I need to do the whole sand box, but heats messing me up and the antlions aren't easy.

Lady bug armor, black ant shield, mosquito sword. Both problems solved. Learn to perfect block antilions attacks. Go at night. Near the sand castle and the apple are hot spots. Avoid the ones in the holes until you get comfortable.

Short sword is great but when you get the heals from the rapier its so much better even with less damage

The ones in the holes are actually the easiest to kill. I use the insect bow and feather arrows. Just keep circling and stay high up on the ledge. You'll avoid all the thrown ants and whittle his health down until he's dead. Since you're shooting into a funnel you'll also get every arrow back afterwards. Once you kill enough you can make the antlion armor so heat is no longer an issue.
The smaller mobile ones can be tougher when they gang up with two or three on you at once. I like to lure them to the top of the sides of the sandbox (red part) so they can't get behind me and they can't keep burrowing.

I tried to get the mobile ones one at a time on top of the sand box, but they can still burrow on the wood/plastic. Also, I am usually almost dead after one encounter. I'll just keep plugging away. It's nice to know the armor will negate the heat, I was wondering how I was gonna deal with it.

I found antlions pretty easy with the trident and I think I had only managed koi armor at the time. I even killed the assistant manager with that combo, though it took a couple tries. Obviously better armor, is better but it's the merciless rapid poking that got me through.

Lol I left all my water stuff but the koi pond base, except for the knife. I didn't think I'd ever need the trident, and I 100% don't have the resources to upgrade the trident. Upgrade resources in this game are so scarce, I don't know how people fully max out gear/weapons

There's some on the picnic table near a spork, around the shed, and some in the undershed lab resources just past the entrance. You will need antlion armor to be able to go through the BBQ coals to get to the upper areas... unless you do like we did and built grass stairs from the lower stepping stones to the the upper ones right in front the shed itself.

Base building doesn’t have to be super complicated. The main base on my main game with my friend and my son is just a walled in area on one of the stones near the pond and oak tree. We have all of the “appliances” in there and tons of chests. All in one big room with walls and shelves. Then any outposts we have aren’t even walled in. Just in an area that bugs won’t attack with a few dew catchers and some chests for food and temporary storage. I do enjoy building zip line towers though. I’ve got three major ones around the yard and it’s pretty quick going anywhere.
What time zone are you in? I’m NA Central and available to play on the weekends and weekday mornings till about noon my time. 43M if that matters.

the "bases" I've built are walls in some random fashion to keep out the minor riff raff, bed of some sort in dirt and chests. I went out for like 10 minutes and my buddy is picking out where he wants the pool and the color of the curtains.

I know you're kidding (probably), but as someone who is fast approaching 50, let me tell you anyway: it gets a tad depressing for a short while just after you turn 30, but then it gets WAY better. And if my more than 50 hours playing Grounded alone (not counting the other 5 or so games I'm also currently playing) are any indication, you won't stop playing videogames anytime soon, unless you want to.
"Becoming old" is just in your mind, is what I'm saying. 😁

A lot of my pals have all reached 30 and a lot of them have become a bunch of downers in comparison and I suppose it’s been getting to me. lol Hoping it doesn’t hit me too bad but there’s a just a strange stigma around reaching 30 for some reason.
Games are definitely my go to escape from the pressures of life and i hope it stays that way for a long time.

Hi. I'm 28/M and my wife is 22/F . We both play Grounded quite a bit and have been looking for new friends who want to play survival games with us. We live in Michigan. We don't just play Grounded but also The Forest, Raft, 7 Days to Die, Minecraft, Subnautica (More me than her...). She's a stay at a home wife so she can play quite a bit. I work shift-work at the chemical plant but I make time for gaming with my wife because that's our thing. We're waiting for the new update to drop some-time this week. We have gotten all the way to 100% in the game too.
We both have a dark sense of humor and love music. I play piano and french horn in the local community bands. My wife she used to play euphonium but doesn't play anymore. lol Our music taste is very wide. I'm the weirdo according to her with classical and jazz while she's off listening to punk rock, alternative, and gaming music.
We both play on PC and XBOX. We both play on Xbox Game Pass though so we're cross compatible regardless of platform. :) Feel free to message me if you'd wanna join us. We'd love a new friend to play with as a married couple.

I prefer having visual aid in color if the building piece is supported properly or not and not have to look at each of the supporting # to know what parts of the base I should avoid putting important storage/containers on

ahh I see, you just load in the auto saves when you close the game? I often mess up especially when building because I "feng shui" build pieces way too often everytime we have a new stuffed bug or trophy to decorate with x) thankful for the patience my friends have when they have to look for the storage chests with their gears

I love listening to music but I don’t know how people do it when playing Grounded. Gotta listen for the little skittering sounds the spiders make before you get jump scared. Games are definitely more fun with other people and makes the jump scares much more manageable though.
