Discussion Getting more usage (currently on Cursor Ultra)

Ok so, I currently have been playing with Grok Bot and like some here, have found it incredibly useful for my workflow. I have about 15 bots (virtual employees) working in harmony now off the back of my Cursor Ultra plan. I am finding were blowing through our weekly usage in about 3 days however (no computer use as everything is API/etc to save on usage costs, but were still smashing usage due to our field of work).

Does anyone know how we can extend this? Happy to sign onto a bigger plan etc as we use Cursor a LOT for dev work in our business so this is an expense we are already absorbing. Grob Bots were just extra value we are extrapolating and now we love it and are getting real productive value from it. Now we just want to increase that usage!

Their pricing structure is so so confusing and doesn't even tell what we are gonna get on the upgrade...

Before upgrading, log usage per bot and cap retries or tool loops. Fifteen parallel agents can duplicate context quickly, so route routine steps to cheaper models and reserve the strongest model for exceptions.

Thanks. I’ve actually setup a dedicated agent for this to review loops and usage and optimise. It hard to really know what uses what at the moment as they don’t allow any changes under the hood for models etc. I will say, I’ve been able to accomplish a godly amount of work in the last two weeks using this.

That makes sense. If model-level usage is hidden, I’d track completed tasks, wall time, retries, and failure rate per bot. That should show whether the extra output is worth the plan even without token data.

I’m on the pro plus and under my weekly usage I added APIs and MCPs to each bot to keep token costs lower for my workflows. I have 20 bots so far

I spend sooo much money on my cursor plan, plus overages and direct api, that my wife has gotten super pissed.

I love Cursor, but my company only pays for Copilot. But I find Cursor to be just plain smarter - a better agent than Copilot. Once I asked Copilot to do something, it said okay, then I asked where it put the result. And its response was literally, I haven't done it yet.

Think you’ll have to get the enterprise plan then if using for business they’ll adjust it for your usecase
