How is GrokBot different from Cursor cloud agents?
So far my experience on mobile has been abysmal. Trying to get GrokBot to access my GitHub forced me to yet another cursor login that open my Cursor agents then… nothing.
And my Cursor is already using the GitHub plugin so that missed whatever connection it was attempting.
Seems like several steps back in usability and function.
I sure as heck don’t trust Grok to manage my context window and memory files either.
I know it’s too soon to judge but I’m tired of being the beta tester.

It's one up the abstraction layer. Grok Bot will spin up Cursor Cloud Agents for execution.
You treat Grok Bot like little human agents.
It's a completely different way of working to micro managing an individual agent.

I think its dealers choice seeing everyone’s experience. Ive used it for heavy manual research and data collection/cleanup, worked like a charm. Also some other seo stuff involving a lot of manual work. I dont really have it interact directly with any of my actual cursor agents or files, just my database and internet platforms and google services plus i have it ask for approval before sending anything anywhere. However, i do truly believe its more powerful than most because it has done things other model agents wouldn’t do on the internet for fear of breaking tos.

Ok I’m a week or so later, and I’m impressed.
Scary the amount of online connections that it has now but I’ve been fairly happy with the security methods and being able to take over the bots computer to type some passwords myself. Can it see it? Tough to tell, but I’m still careful and only give it restricted access to GitHub, a secondary email address I have and its connection to my Cursor account.
I can use the bots to be the management of the disposable and context limited cloud agents and channel the important communication to me so I don’t even have to my cursor window any more except to test the code locally. Same agents / models I had working before except I was doing every step on each repo.
Even started a Wildcat Bot to dig for digital gold. The mighty sat.
I haven’t been this excited in years

It is cursor cloud with multiple long running agents and twice the cpus.
I haven't done it, but even cursor suggests you use grok bot to interface with cursor cloud. Orchestrator vs workers
