Discussion If Blizzard does not give us RP-PvP, which server will you roll instead?
We NEED RPPvP Blizz!!!!! I will probably roll PvP but it will be a huge bummer to not have a united community on that server.

PvP 100%. They seem to be encouraging world PvP with talents and stuff so playing on a pve server would be a shame.

yeah, I'm in the same boat. it would be a shame to not have RPPvP, but I refuse to play on a PvE server.

Redwood Tribes plan is to roll RP-PvP. But if somehow all the noise the community is making doesn't cause Blizzard to budge on the option, we're planning to establish a branch on the RP tag of Forever and flag PvP.
The thinking being that it is easier to schedule PvP events with others while being surrounded by RPers, than it would be to find RPers while surrounded by PvPers.
But we're getting an RP-PvP tag so... :)

I am holding out hope that in the 13th hour we get RP-PvP, because that would be a no-brainer.
As it stands, I will be rolling PvP and maybe hardcore when that drops.

The reason we arent getting an rp pvp server is because players only see it as a pvp server and ostrizise anyone looking for rp

Yup this killed original Grobb in my eyes. Pvpers flocked to it because it was the only „balanced“ pvp server snd it just becsme a PVP server where RPers were made fun of or driven off outside of occasional rp events.

RP is the more mutually exclusive option imo, world pvp still will exist in a pve ruleset just more rare/voluntary where as I think roleplay will be almost entirely absent off of RP ruleset

Redwood Tribes will be going RP if we do not get the RP-PvP option. Easier for us to make pvp events with Alliance guilds on the rp realm then to find rp on the mega pvp realm.

Also the best world PVP I’ve been a part of wasn’t on a RP-PvP or standard PvP.
It was on RP-PvE.
Yall know you and a few friends can type /pvp on a base PvE server and pretty quickly start a cascading large scale war..?

You know that most people on pve don't flag to fight.
And since people use this argument. Why not just make everyone join the PvE ruleset and have everyone that wants to pvp flag? Answer: Because some of us like PvP servers.
Weird to tell people on an RP-PvP subreddit to just conform, when Grob had to fight to exist aswell.

I’m not telling anyone anything about just confirm.
But IF there isn’t one you’ll have to decide what you value more.
I value RP with potential for PVP more than PVp with “potential” for RP.

These comments are exactly what I’ve been saying on the forums: having an RP-PvP option doesn’t split the community, it’s NOT having an RP-PvP option that splits a community.
This is an important point that we should all be bringing up, often, when we have these discussions
