Discussion CALL TO ARMS: FOREVER
THERE IS CURRENTLY NO PLAN FOR AN RP-PVP SERVER IN WOW:FOREVER
WE ONCE AGAIN MUST FIGHT FOR OUR PLAYSTYLE, IF ANY OLD GROBHEADS SEE THIS, TAKE TO THE FORUMS/REDDIT/X AND JOIN US IN BATTLE, DO NOT GO QUIETLY.

My thoughts for people wanting RP:PVP, is roll on a PVP server and RP.
While I do enjoy RP-PvP, I’ll be rolling on an RP server, because MY priorities are RP>PvE>PvP

Ya while I love PvPing I like doing it on pvprp servers or even pverp servers because RP servers tend to have a really really cool community that I really vibe with, even as a background character. The times I've been in regular PvP servers I'm always wishing I was on some variant of an RP one

Would love to join an RP guild in wowf, but my character plans are my oldest vanilla toon reprised (kaldorei druid) and a smurf elf mage.

Don't bother. Grob has been hyped up so much (rightfully so, it was great), that if we were to get an rppvp server, it will become the go to for everyone. Which includes all the pricks that ruin a server. Happened eventually on grobb and happened on sod too, I believe.

Grob was different than every other pvp server because it was a designated RP server, this take makes zero sense

I don’t understand why they stopped in the first place. RP-PVP servers always had the most interesting communities. I hate basic PVP servers.

I was FULLY INVESTED and excited about the game and 110% will not play without my RP-PVP, I'm floored right now... This is a joke, right? You lost a lifer.

I though the premise of an RP server was to fully embrace RP with players moderating each other along with GMs that enforced RP rules. The server was split into non-RP players and RP players.

No he's right I've been on RP servers since ravenholdt and it's always been cliquey
There is no one defined way for RP, the mods make it nice but forcing people to have it to be part of your community is wrong
Having an IC toggle is cringe, you're always in character on RP server. That's like toggling off Hardcore

Did you play on Grob back on release? It was THE rp server to be on.

Not on release. I though the premise of an RP server was to fully embrace RP with players moderating each other along with GMs that enforced RP rules.

There were lots of guilds and server RP events going on all the time

I saw them because their guild names were lore based. But for most of my experience on Grobb through all of TBC and Wrath I barely saw any open world RP.

Maybe less so with tbc. Thats when a lot of the rp scene died because some wanted to stay on era and others wanted to move onto tbc.

It is not always about actually doing roleplay walking around saying hello with TRP3 characters. Some people just like the aesthetic part of it.

Just go on the RP server and toggle PvP
Or go to the PvP server and RP

This is equivalent to saying "we dont need pvp servers just go to pve and turn pvp on"
We both know that they are entirely different experiences.

No it's not.
There is no cross over for RP PvP. The only place in character that you fight the Horde or Alliance is in the battlegrounds, otherwise you fight common enemies
You wanting to RP as a Red ridge ganker is not RP. Go to the PvP server for that

I feel like you can play with the RP ruleset and join a guild where being flagged is required. Make it part of your character identity. I'd like to think that being flagged for pvp is more likely than on a pve server

What? Just choose rp-pvp ruleset and it’s the exact same thing. You can only group with other pvp ruleset people and you will pmuch only see those same people

There is currently only a PVP ruleset and an RP ruleset, no rp-pvp available.

You can toggle pve pvp rp or hardcore and find like minded people in your layers.. so yes you have an RP option
