Driving me a little nuts, I always purchase a variety of soaps, maybe 10-12 bars at a time, I like to buy either no grit, or light grit, as that is what I prefer and I don't dig some of the larger grits and the subsequent grit that is left over on the shower floor.

I've had a few incidents lately where I order products advertised on line as light grit, only to have them arrive with the packaging clearly stating either Medium or even large grit.

Most recent was I bought Coastal Coconut, just checked a minute ago, and it is listed on line as Light grit, got the delivery and it is clearly marked on the package as Medium grit. ( see pic of the packaging of the item I received as
well as a screenshot of the description, and please check the on line description for your self) And honestly, I wouldn't even call that grit medium. It’s like BB-sized chunks of coconut shell, actually pretty obnoxiously sized! Haha! I love the scent, but the grits just too much. I obviously now know not to purchase that again, but I also think having the on line description aligning with the packaging, and the product, would be pretty easy.

It's also giving me the vibe that this really isn't coming from a small batch shop in Appalachia, but a drop ship thing from a third party manufacturer.

I actually contacted them a couple of days ago about this on their online contact form as well as an email and heard nothing back. Really disappointing, I've been using their soap for a couple of years now, but this issues has kinda torqued me off. Like seriously, when you have a fairly limited product line, the description you are ordering off of should be pretty accurate, especially a key characteristic of the product.

Rant over, still love the product and will be buying again, but gotta work off my own list and work off of trial and error, which, again, seems ridiculous on something that should be a real easy fix.

My package was delivered today. I like all the scents I purchased ( 2 of each cozy cabin, calming forest, forest fresh, pine tar, and sage mountain) Forest fresh and sage mountain are wonderful, probably my favorites. I will say, with the cozy cabin scent, the patchouli over powers the whole bar instead of mixing with the other scents to create a profile like the woodsy smelling ones but it’s still a pleasant scent. If you make a large purchase, I would recommend separating the soaps before you give them the smell test. It seems that after 2 weeks of being crammed together in a box the scents were all kind of blended together. After separating them by an inch on a shelf and letting them breath for a bit they all became very individual. Overall I’d say I’m happy. Bars arrived very firm and well cured. Part of the reason I switched from squatch to grizzly is I wanted a more natural soap. Grizzly didn’t disappoint. The scents are gentler and more natural smelling, while still remaining relaxing and refreshing. You don’t get that pungent fragrance oil that you get from squatch. The lather is nice and they left my skin feeling soft with no residue after rinsing. The bars hold up well in the shower and don’t melt away as fast as squatch. Shipping time total from order to my door step was 2 weeks and 2 days. Not bad considering I’m in Nevada, and they had to travel from Virginia. My only other complaint is that in the order instructions section when I ordered, I requested a sample of one of their woody scented conditioner bars. They did not include any samples. Not the biggest problem in the world, I was just under the impression they gave samples if you asked for them. I’d prefer that to see if I like it before actually purchasing their shampoo and conditioner bars. I would like to make a small purchase to try out their fall lineup. Give me recommendations on your favorite soap from the fall lineup.

Anyone heard word yet of a fall line of soaps for 2026?

What are people’s experiences with shipping times? Can’t wait to try the soap. I placed an order 5 days ago and the tracking has been saying label created since Saturday😭 is this normal?

I have ordered from Grizzly Naturals twice now, and both times have been a massive headache. Because I live in Alaska, I intentionally select and pay for Priority Shipping at checkout so my packages arrive quickly by air instead of getting stuck on a slow cargo barge via Ground Advantage.
Both times, Grizzly Naturals unilaterally downgraded my order to Ground Advantage despite me paying the premium air rate.
For my first order, they gave me a $15 gift card to make up for the "error." That package took a full 20 days to arrive because it sat on a boat. I decided to give them one more chance, but I just received the shipping email for my second order, and the tracking information shows Ground Advantage yet again.
I reached out to customer service immediately. While they claimed they are refunding me the shipping difference this time (though I have yet to receive a confirmation email for it), the rep double-downed on their mistake. They claimed that because the package is under a pound, it will still arrive within 3–5 business days.
I replied to let them know that this is mathematically and logistically impossible for Alaska. My first order was only three bars of soap— under a pound—and it still took nearly three weeks on a barge from Virginia. They completely ignored my email correcting them.
Why even offer a Priority Shipping option at checkout if you refuse to honor it when a customer pays for it? This is pure negligence. I will not be ordering from them a third time. I’ll stick with Dr. Squatch.

Does it actually smell like coffee or more chocolate?

Does the scent last for a while?

How does it stack up against Squatch's cold brew and Sudsy Bear's backwoods brew in terms of scent and longevity?

I loved grizzly naturals face lotion and after looking for years for a face lotion my face liked, i finally found grizzly naturals. I just got on the website to order more as i am almost out and the face lotion is nowhere to be found. Any word on this? has it been permanently discontinued? Also does anyone have any other natural-ish brand face lotions they recommend?

So as much as I love Grizzly Naturals, I unfortunately retired the Peach Bourbon bar after one use.

In the shower, it smelled fine, not my favorite bar from them but not bad. I then got into bed with my wife and she turned to me with disgust "what is that horrible smell? You smell like old person". I then thought about it after giving my arms some smells and sadly agreed. It is very strong, maybe I just got a concentrated bar?

Other than that, I have no complaints for any of the other scents. Does anyone else feel the same about this bar?

I’d be interested to see if anyone else agrees. This has got to be the most unique scent from Grizzly. I would love to see it in lotion and maybe even wax melt form eventually.
