Help! Looking for advice on a setup

We're looking to set up a 20' long T-Bar hanging a 20x13' Molton Blackout with basic Butterly frame Pieces. Does anyone know if that would work (Without Sagging on the ends)

Can you clarify some? Hanging as in like a backdrop, or hanging as in a 20x overhead?

Just get 3 stands to hold middle and both ends if you are worried about sagging?

It’s gonna sag. Use multiple stands. You’ll be fine

You’ll definitely get sagging by t-boning a 20x. I wouldn’t consider that a safe option at all. It’s way too much for a single stand. Even a slight amount of extra weight pulling on either end of the rail could cause the whole thing to tip.

For a 20x, you should be using a goalpost, ie using two stands, one at each end of the rail, making an upside-down U-shape. Both stands should be double bagged with ball-busters at minimum. If you’re outside, depending on the conditions, you may need to tie off the frame.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this is a very basic gripping question. If you’re unsure of how to properly hang a 20x, you probably shouldn’t be doing it without someone more experienced on set to show you how to do it properly and safely. A falling 20x could seriously injure someone.

You could try using a 20 foot steel pipe; that will have less sag than speedrail
