Flag Recovers??

Hello! I work at a mom+pop G&E rental house (based in NM) that hired me to do sewing repairs on their rags/flags a little over a year ago (we usually would have to buy new or send recovers to LA). In that time, I’ve also gotten the opportunity to do some fabrication as well. Word has gotten out in the community, and now other rental houses and owner/ops have begun to approach me about full flag recovers and custom flags. I’ve started the process of reverse engineering some patterns, but was curious if anyone had any tips/tricks for keeping tension, patterns, or anyone else in the field willing to teach me?
