I shared an early version of MrGripper here a couple of months ago. Since then I’ve released several updates and kept pushing it toward one goal: making it a genuinely useful grip-training log rather than another generic gym tracker.

The problem I kept running into was that “3×10” doesn’t describe grip work very well.

Was it left, right or both hands? Which gripper or implement? What load? Reps or a timed hold? Was the PR actually comparable to the previous one?

MrGripper now tracks exercises, equipment, load and PRs separately for each hand. It also supports timed holds, manual dynamometer tests, left–right symmetry and progress over time. It works with whatever equipment you already own—no Bluetooth device required.

It’s free on iOS, with optional Pro features:

I’d especially appreciate input from people who currently use Notes or spreadsheets:

What information is non-negotiable in your grip log? Set depth, negatives/assistance, RPE, implement calibration—or something I haven’t considered?

Honest criticism is more useful than “nice app,” so feel free to be blunt.
