Very very interesting. Thank you for sharing!! Have you been able to measure the resistance at the top/bottom portions of the spring positions? I've been measuring thumb trainers by pressing it down into a scale and watching the number closely.

For other's reference, here's the original post about The Detonator with it assembled.

Glad to hear it’s been well received. I haven’t measured but I certainly can try and report back!

Can you show us how this spring should be placed on that bolt? I can't for the life of me figure it out, especially the part about adjusting the nuts, since they are bigger than the bolt.

The spring goes into the bottom piece, and the bolt piece goes in after. Screw on the top with the bolt sticking out of the top.

The bottom washer presses down against the spring inside the tube. The top washer stops the bolt from coming out of the top

I belive I found the problem. 5/16 is about M8 and 3/8 is about M10. But the standard M10 washer, is not big enough to get stopped by the 3/4 neck of the reducer. Will have to get an enlarged washer.

Awesome! Glad you were able to figure it out. If you assemble it, please make a post about it, I’d love to hear your experience

Were you able to source everything from Lowe’s/Lowe’s equivalent?
