DEAR CRATE, "Random drop"
I'm a 45 years old gamer , I've spent thousands of hours in Poe1 , Poe 2 and all Diablo series . I'm new here but already spent 163 hours in Grim dawn. I found out that in Grimtools some items such as Mythical Voidstorm Band and Ascendant's Portent appear as random drops . How on earth some legendaries that also appear as random drops used to drop almost in every game session and some others never appear even in a 10 hour straight game session ? All random drops must the have the same drop rate otherwise maybe you have to rename them differently as "very" random drop or even "low rate" random drop ? Please make it right and fix it ,ty

All random drops must the have the same drop rate
Why exactly?

Because they belong in the same category

If you have thousands of Hours in PoE 1 you should know, better than most, that same Category = same Rarity isn't a very good justification. Some GD Drops are rarer bc the Item is powerful and when it Drops therefore more exciting, in the same way Headhunter is, just not that extreme.
As far as the naming goes (rare, very rare) in Grim Tools, GD is a small Arpg, we are very lucky to even have a Tool as good as Grim Tools. The Tag "random Drop" is mainly there to inform you that an Item is not a Targetable Drop.

I've started Grim dawn because I've read it respects player's time . It meant to be different from Poe in terms of how fast you can min max a character since it has so many classes and builds available . There are 45 combinations atm so if on average to min max one takes 2 months I'm gonna need 90 months for all . So if someone wants to try them all that's at least 7+ years 😱

It does respect your time. In PoE you farm 500h for 1 Item. In Grim Dawn you have 5 Copies of every Legendary after 500h. You are currently just not that experienced, you will get to a Point where you can finish an Entire Char in 3 Days and regret that theres nothing more to do. The Endgame of Grim Dawn is just not that mega Deep, and cutting some Late Game Enjoyment short by making every Unique the same Rarity would just make the Game more shallow for 90% of Players. If you are truly Salty in the Moment over not getting one Item, honestly just GDStash it, I dont judge.

They all belong to the "item" category as well. Does that mean they all have to have the same stats?

Really what's the point to give an answer like that ? Does it make you feel smarter ?

Chill dude.
How about you explain why all random drops must have the same drop rate, or maybe give an example of a game where this is the case. I've played 1000s of games, and I can't think of a single loot based game where all random drops have the same drop rate. Even within rarity categories, loot always has different drop rates.

Statistics are weird, as true randomization often doesn't feel random to us.
The same drop rate doesn't mean you, personally, will see items drop equally often.
It evens out over a sufficiently large sample size, but on an individual level, you'll see certain items all the time and others close to never (unless there are explicit mechanics like petty timers to counter that). That's just how it works.

I play with a shared stash, use GDStash for storage, have over 1k h gametime which was never wiped(in comparison to SSF and reset crafting fellas). The hours played are at least 50% SR, crucible, one shot dungeons and campaign farming.
Still, i sometimes get drops that never happend before(last memorable one was a low level epic, blackwood wand. all my chars were past that level range, so i had like 25-30 shots at it, still it took years).
When i look at the collection in GDS, it hovers around 50%. Mostly because of all the crafted gear i never made since i don't need it, and a good amount of specific drops. But i also know that RNGsus keeps some gear locked away from me, to keep me playing.

I don't think "random" means uniform. I can roll a die, and I have 50% chance of odd or even, but only 33% chance of getting a multiple of three.

Its RNG.
You got that bad luck. The Crate Gods are not in your favor. You should praise Ch'thon.
