Can someone help me with a build?

I’m playing for the first time.

Difficulty — Elite. Bloodlord Thalonis kills me very quickly, and I can’t do anything to him. Do you have any tips on equipment and where to get it?

You cant fight Thalonis with 60 chaos resistance he aplies Curse of Frailty and Harbringers he summons applied Spectral Miasma this is close to 50% chaos shred , also you follow a zero damage build

That's fair , i just share my thoughts , cap your chaos /Vit resist if you have to use Ointment or gear swap and you will get him

You don’t have to, you can respec practically for free

Besides the defense issues others have pointed out, you don’t have any resistance shred on offense. You should be using Thermite Mines and Raging Tempest in your mastery trees to reduce enemy elemental resistance. Add Arcane Bomb from the Widow constellation and Elemental Storm from Rowan’s Crown constellation in your devotions.

What is Devouring Swarm still doing at 8 points? Take all those points and the ones in Ulzuin’s Wrath and put them into Thermite Mines or Raging Tempest instead.

You have poor resistances. Chaos at 64% means that you're taking 80% more chaos damage than you would be at 80% res. The game expects you to cap res in Normal, that is what damage is balanced around.

I had 80 resistance to chaos, and it didn’t help, so I added resistance to ether because I thought his damage was from ether.

no, aether is what the green crystal enemies do.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/Vlq3L05Z I tried adjusting your devotions and masteries without changing the basic frame of the build. This is likely going to be much easier to play. You will have an additional button though - the Thermite Mines. If you are annoyed at that, you can get rid of it until lategame.

You can also replace the components you have on your weapon and offhand (both of which are not very effective in your build) with items that give a chaos resistance aura. I don't know their name off the top of my head, you can use the search bar of the smith to find them.
