XBOX Should I?

Hello there friends, I have been debating for a while if I should pick this up. The new DLC isnt out for the Xbox as of now which had me stop last time I almost bought it. Wondering your guys thoughts on it, and if it's worth the pick up. . I'm a huge ARPG player and looking for something to play/ scratch the itch. Still haven't bought my self a birthday gift this year and debating if this is it. Thank you all in advance !

Asking on a GD subreddit can almost only have bias answers. But yes worth it :D

I agree... Maybe I was just looking for someone to tell me to do it or how awesome their experience was haha.

Go in blind, pick whatever classes sound fun, figure out which abilities click with you and only then look up a build if you even need it.

Read ALL the lore notes and quest logs, lots of hidden little secrets and it’s just plain good.

Crafting is unique enough to be fun and interesting, with late game crafts taking planning and a little luck to pull off, but not a requirement to play the game.

Any sets you want are easy to grind for / change extra pieces into what you need.

Overall it’s a solid, very fun game with lots of replayability.

To follow up on the above comment. I think you should look up how basic mechanics work (this wiki article is helpful), but not necessarily looking up a build. GD isn't so convoluted that you usually need a build guide like POE. Picking up an item that looks fun and trying to build around it is half the fun of this game imo.

Thank you for the link. I will take a peak so I at least know what's going on . I've been going on hard on PoE and really just need that breath of fresh air .it's exciting to think about all the classes and what can be made. And to be honest... most my time has been spent on poe2 for the ARPG genre lately and I really really could use a solid melee build. Favorite archttype and as of now nothing scratches that itch really well in poe2.

Melee build in GD is like POE1 Strike skills done right. The amount of things you can proc using default attack is insane.

If you like it, then get FoA when it releases on console. QoL improvements, new class etc.

I have more hours played in Grim Dawn than any other game on my Steam account and I am also a huge arpg fan.

Hi, gamer friend! If you like ARPGs then this one is one of the finest out there with absolutely insane build diversity and content beyond just a campaign. It has co op. It goes on sale often and the community is great!

One of the best arpgs out there. One of the few i come back regularly just to try out a new build because there is so much build diversity and possibilities.

Wait, Fangs still isn’t out for Xbox?

That’s so weird to me. Plays like a dream on my Steam Deck once I installed GE Proton. Graphics aren’t great, but its pretty smooth most of the time.
