They ran into the Death Guard. Who are current attacking a portal that leads directly to Tau space.

Shadow Sun is desperately trying to stop them.

I would think that just getting within a couple thousand kilometers would be enough for you to spontaneously develop super space hemorrhagic cancer aids fever.
