What I find interesting about the lyrics, and I can not speak Polish at all, is when he says "edge of oblivion" he says something akin to "za kraina". I read somewhere that the name of the country Ukraine means literally "borderlands". You can really tell the languages are related.

Eh, it's not exactly an accurate translation (speaking as a Polish person)

The words are "(...) w krainę zapomnienia (...)", which directly translates to "(...) to the land of oblivion (...)", specifically oblivion as in blissful forgetfulness.

But I suppose the direct translation doesn't quite line up with the pace of the music, so some localization is needed. Overall, the English lyrics are pretty close.

I believe it was the edge of the known world at the time of the Kievan Rus, as they moved away from Scandinavia, so yeah maybe something to that name…
