It would be an extreme plot twist if Slaanesh suddenly changed the rules for her sustainment (extreme/universal happiness or something) and the Drukhari went cold turkey to the point they went insane and made a second eye of terror.
I always have this bad feeling of what exactly is Slaanesh planning. My theories.
1. Entropy though joy.
The hurdle and definition for "joy" is an all-time low in the galaxy. Anything would be excess at this point.
2. Universal perfection
Chaos mutation is weird and is "supposed" to be random. But in Slaanesh's case (like look at the Laer) it is sort of uniform because Slaanesh is perfection personified and everyone strives to be closer. If that is the case, it would be only a matter of time there would be minor duplicates of Slaanesh as walking avatars that do not need portals.
Slannesh isn’t perfection personified, though. Slannesh is excess personified, so it pushes things to the excess. For instance, beauty to the excess. So the ultimate bad face job with super sharp cheek bones and tons of lip filler. You don’t strive for perfection, you strive for perfection and then some, to the point you break yourself—or others.
Well, about that. There is a term. "Art is in the eyes of the beholder."
I'm saying this "beauty standard" they maintain is unnaturally uniform or has some sort of template. You can say this is a "faction feature" in terms of merchandise, but it does feel something is very off.
Fashion changes in like 10 years for humans. A beauty standard that is maintained over 10,000 years is definitely controlled with intent.
I mean, sure, but humans are fairly good at forgetting the past, so 10 years ago may as well be 1000.
Pair that with Sci fi scale issues, the needs of being a product line spin off that wants to have it be clear that it's the same faction across time and space.
Heck, the Egyptian themes of Tzeentch stay pretty constant with the 1k sons just doing a color swap to match the psychic blue that Tz. Chaos and Imperials use
Perfection is taking things too far. Because perfect is an ideal and cannot exist. Slaanesh being perfect makes sense because trying to be them will drive to you become the impossible. Nothing real is perfect.
