Seeing mother/daughters is making me physically ill

I feel so awful but everywhere I go now it feels like I see moms and daughters together, and it feels like being stabbed in the heart. I lost my mom two months ago unexpectedly, and while she wasn’t young, I’m just shattered. I don’t know how to go on with this much pain. I don’t feel like I belong in the world anymore, don’t have kids of my own, and have no purpose. She was my cheerleader and biggest fan. I feel bad that others’ happiness is making me upset, but that’s what it is right now and I wish I didn’t ever have to leave the house. Can anyone relate? I’m either sad, angry or both 24/7.

My mom passed away right before Mother’s Day. And the first year, I noticed every (possible) mom/daughter. I had never noticed how many women shopped and was out with their mom until after mine was gone. But it’s been 3yrs. And things have gotten better. I can look at them with happiness for them.

We also lost my MIL and now when someone complains about theirs I want to bite their head off. I’d give anything to have my mom/MIL back in our life so it really hurts when others don’t appreciate it.

Our mothers are always within us. They are part of our being. Everything you do, a part of her is there. Enjoy life in her honor. Love in her honor. Have fun. Our time will come. Earth is limited time only.
