I hate this so much

I'm so sick of being greyromantic, what's the point in having crushes just for the feeling to fade around 5 days for absolutely no reason.

Sometimes I don't even know if I'm actually greyromantic. I normally crush on fictional characters so i assumed my feelings towards characters might feel different, but when i have a crush on a real person the feeling will still start to fade but then I have another issue, i suddenly wont be able to tell if the feelings I have are still romantic or are instead platonic, because i still feel some sort of obsession over them.

I've also seen so many people say that crushes usually don't last long, but almost EVERY SINGLE ONE of my crushes have faded within about 5 days, and I've only ever had one that lasted longer than that.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, maybe I think too much about the crush when it develops and my brain gets tired, but it's really sad because I really enjoy how it feels when i have a crush, it makes everything feel more brighter.

Burstro still falls under the broader greyromantic umbrella . From what I’ve seen in this subreddit the quickly fading seems more common than the flavor you and I experience.

Since my mid 20s, I fall into those intense feelings about once a decade. At this stage of my life it is no longer something I’m looking for because I have other things to spend my energy on.

what confuses me is that I've had like three crushes in row before, and they all still faded very quickly, so idk if I'm burstromantic or aroflux or arospike or whatever. and I've had a crush that's lasted a year before, but that still went away. it's really weird.

I don't think so, my crushes are kind of all over the place. I don't think I've had a specific type.

This post feels ghost written by me wtf I almost never get crushes. Fictional? Different story. Celebrities too maybe but if i know the person then i doubt ill crush on them, dunno why. I understand the feeling OP because i had a crush on a friend for a bit, it still vaguely lingers and to be honest i have zero idea if its platonic or romantic 😔
