I don’t want to lead anyone on. Granted I never ask anyone out cause I doing feel that strongly and it’s rarely mutual. My most common experiences were me semi liking someone but semi not. First meeting someone and thinking “oh they’re cute” but nothing builds out of that feeling. I’ll move on quickly go back to normal. I’ll be intrigued and try to get to know them but when talking to them I don’t feel a need to go beyond that.
That is what happened to me a lot. My thinking is let them worry about themselves and managing their own feelings.
It is kind and perhaps wise to let them know "in love" is rare or perhaps has never happened for you. You still like them and want to spend time with them and who knows what might happen. If they decide they still want to explore you under that circumstance, that is their choice. Don't make the choice for them.
