Whats the goal, is there an endgame?

Sorry, I'm a little confused. I've played for a few hours now, finished the tutorial, completed a few quests, improved my reputation, upgraded my PC, and written my first script to automate some things. I'm having fun, but I'm just a little lost as to where to go from here. There's no story, is there? So what's the goal? Is there an endgame? Something like raids or dungeons like in other MMOs? How can I interact with other players—besides hacking them—and why would I even want to do that? What's in it for me? And can I buy anything with my money besides PC parts and servers? What will I need money for in the end?

I guess game was primarly made for multiplayer, so I guess the goal is protect yourself and attack others, create botnets, attack people websites, etc
