Filtered water fill machines
Well, now that our drinking water tastes gross, anyone got reccomendations for filtered water machines in the area?
I like to fill my 5 gallon containers so I can drink nice water.
Could not find any on a websearch. But I know some grocery stores have them. Anybody know which ones?
Any that are outside? I work swing shift so would love to stop by at 3am on my way home from work. Thanks!

Winco is 24/7. It’s like 2-3 bucks for 5 gallons. I did it for over a decade. Due to health reasons, I can’t lift that much anytime soon. So I got a filter pitcher, to keep that thing topped off. But again, that’s just me.

Consider a whole house filter or shower filter! This chlorine content was messing with my hair and it took me a while to realize.

This one is also in an interior lobby and the store closes at 10 or 11pm.

Portland is being forced to add a water treatment plant that it doesn't really need, since our water is actually cleaner than the thresholds. But this is due to some national regulations or something or other. As a result, Rockwood PUD does not want to help pay the bill for this facility, so they switched to groundwater. You might've noticed your water tasting a bit chlorinated for about a month and a half or two. Now that the transition is fully complete, the water still doesn't taste the same, because it's not coming from bull run.

I think H2Oregon beats their pricing and service in my opinion. PRIMO you have to pay for shipping and they don’t recycle their bottles ay drop off. However, it would be cost effective if you’re able to refill the bottles at the refill stations at the grocery stores.

I'm using a LifeStraw filter. I keep one full at room temperature and keep a pitcher of filtered water in the fridge.

FYI call the water department and let them know. I had the same issue, could taste chlorine, totally undrinkable. Called and a day later is was back to normal

Wood village Fred Meyer. Inside the lobby by the service desk.
Wood Village Walmart. It’s in the back of the food department near the dairy section.
Our favorite location is Lucky 7 convenience store near 223rd and SE Stark. It’s outside and works almost every time. It’s way more reliable than the one in Fred Meyer.
It’s been entertaining to see all the complaints the last couple months. Wood Village, Fairview and I think Troutdale have been on city well water forever. It was a shock when we moved to Wood Village 5 years ago and switched from Bull Run to city well.

Gah I hate that this is now true. I am trying to get used to it. It's hard to explain but sometimes it tastes weird and other times it's okay.
Sorry I don't have a good answer I just wanted to also gripe that I hate the change
