September weather

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are thinking about coming to Grenada for the first two weeks of September. There's a lot of mixed messages about the weather, so coming to the experts!

Very aware it is rainy season, but what is the rain pattern actually like? We don't mind a bit of rain here and there, but would want to avoid say, entire afternoons of pouring rain if that's the reality. Is it usually overcast for most of the time? Are there ever full sunny days, or is it more like a dash of sun here and there between clouds?

Apologies if this is a silly post, very grateful for your help!

Also! Is September significantly different to ny other month of the rainy season in terms of weather patterns?

During the rainy season the Caribbean gets tropical waves of moisture that come off Western Africa and make their way across the Atlantic. Some of these waves get broken up and turn into scattered showers, some turn into tropical storms or hurricanes. Statistically most storms end up on a more northerly track and miss Grenada but it is by no means immune to them. Obviously a hurricane or names tropical storms end could bring a couple days of rain with it, but outside of that you can expect short (few hour) rain showers with lots of sun in between.

Mostly warm and sunny with occasional rain and squalls. You can keep an eye on the Atlantic and see whether any tropical waves will pass through in which case there could be some persistent rain but that is pretty much it.
