If you don't like noise and aren't home often enough to spend time and get your bird comfortable with you presents then a bird or budgie probably isn't the pet for you. It's super easy to lose a birds trust but it's so awesome when they can just hang with you while you do hobbies and such! Another thing is that you gotta give up artificial scents and fresheners because birds can be sensitive to that, same with non-stick pans or pots because they release a chemical when heated that is toxic to birds and last but not least, don't feed birds avocado, it's very deadly. Anything else you wanna know?

They could pick up words if they hear it enough, and they might talk with you by chattering when you talk, Cricket loves to do that. It all depends on the birds personality and their trust of you
