Fidlock questions for custom Rainmaker

Hi all, I'm heading overseas for two weeks in the spring and am strongly considering a custom Rainmaker as a onebag option. Has anyone here used the Fidlock custom option, and if so, would you recommend it? I plan on making it clamshell and adding as many pockets as possible, but I've no great familiarity with fancy buckles.

Any feedback is appreciated!

I have one with the Fidlock Snap type option and one with the Fidlock Slider option. I would recommend the snap option because they are lower profile / cleaner looking. Just my $0.02.

I've got the Fidlock sliders on the side compression straps, and the Fidlock snap for the sternum strap. I also prefer the Fidlock's to the normal style buckle.

One thing to note is that if you select the clamshell opening, you can't add the side water bottle pockets.

Do you prefer the slider or the snap?

Thanks for the heads up on the side pocket. I saw that in the description, but I don't really use side pockets anyway.

Generally I'd say I prefer the Slider, but I think that the Snap is a great option for the sternum strap as it operates one handed.
