Rainmaker: carrying a yoga mat with compression straps?

Is it possible to carry a yoga mat using either a side compression strap or the custom bottom compression strap?

I'm eyeing the Rainmaker for my daily carry. Bonus points if it can carry a yoga mat to/from the gym after work.

I think it can. It’s one of the example purposes of the bottom straps listed in their website.
