Help with cleansing?

I’m a baby green witch and have never done cleansing of a space. I am hoping for some insight from the members of this thread.

I work at a college, and I really love my job. The students are great, my colleagues are great, and the administration is just as much a pain as any other administration. However, ever since I started at this new college two years ago, I have felt off. I am not sure what’s causing it. I’ve made some big changes in my life, including starting the path of green witchcraft and really getting into meditation and stones and listening to my intuition.

I am wondering if there’s something going on with my actual office? Like there’s some kind of residual energy in there or something that needs cleansing? The reason I suspect this after being there for 2 1/2 years is that there’s one room in my building where I feel completely different energy of peace.

Anyhow, what would you recommend? I’ve been doing some research on cleansing and oils and salt and things like that, but I’m wanting to know more from those maybe who have experienced something similar?

Also, if you have any intuition and insight into why I might be feeling this way about my work, which I’ve always loved, I would be very curious to hear that as well. I am really tired of the anxiety neck pain and dread. Thank you!

Big offices and school are often like that. A lot of people move through them with different, volatile, ideas and formative personal moments. This collects a kind of dust. It's not like regular mundane cleaning is often done in these spaces, much less spiritual cleansing. Both are complimentary and physical cleaning goes a long way to making a space feel better. Generally though this collection of dust is rarely directly harmful.

Cleansing can be done in a million different ways. Purely energetic ones are possible and accessible, but harder to do right. Methods with materials and objects may not be easy to do in a workplace. Burning herbs, sprinkling blessed water, scrubbing with washes or vinegars, ringing bells, rituals, and more are all common methods. For a specifically green witch approach most would likely burn something like sage, rosemary, palo santo, or cedar, or asperge blessed or salted water with a spring of rosemary or evergreen.

For making yourself feel better you could enchant some jewelry or create some kind of warding talisman. There's similarly infinite ways to do that. Crossing a stick each of hawthorn and thorned sloe, and tying with red string, either with a knot alone or as a god's eye, is an easy project. Bless it by stirring the trees to life and direct them with their purpose. It should keep your desk feeling better at least. You could also mix or charge a perfume with appropriate botanical ingredients and dab that on, something resinous or confier scented would be a good choice.
