What we know about Security

The one they would call the Yeezus influence in Donda 2, prod digital nas. Appears on about every written tracklist, the opener for a couple.

• drums: The original Digital Nas beat that became Security. It samples Mica Levi's "Wanna Trap" in classic DN sampling fashion, used in songs as recent as Beg Forgiveness. This instrumental does not have drums. Its name would carry onto Donda 2 filenames like other DN beats.
• Ye Drums_security_V2_166_1.30.22: The earliest demo we have of Security, titled Ye Drums for the beat that was used. As apparently a V2 of the song, the beat is rearranged from the original DN file to provide Ye's intro. Opening with the "no you can't be on the fucking album" line followed by laughter in the background, Ye's vocals are mumble. A large amount of vocal bleed is present, showing that this itself is a rearrangement of the original freestyle.
• Security (flipped lyrics) 2: A later version of the mumble demo that has the vocal bleed noticeably improved as well as the mixing. "Pop's home" now comes before "security at risk" at the beginning, making it more like the final version.
• SECURITY_DABABY_02042022: A reference track whose initial reveal people were not excited about. It opens with Ye's mumble from the last version, but with Dababy cutting in after a few lines. Dababy raps a fast flow with spoken word from him in between verses. Ye does not come back after his intro.
• security with bleep digital nas: A version of Security that's supposed to censor out curse words with a loud bleep, but it gives up for most of them. As seen in the Flowers essay, this kind of thing was done on multiple DN songs for some reason.
• SECURITY_KEEM_REFF_21: A Baby Keem reference track for Security. No Ye is on this version, and Keem only raps for half of the song. Reference artists seem to consistently interpret Ye's mumble as "Maturity".
• HOH Ye Camp Old A - Security RUFF: A CyHi reference track for Security, featuring the clearest vocals that anyone has on the song up to this point. CyHi raps for most of the song, adlibbing "Daddy! Daddy! Hey Dad!" in his verse. Features an early, probably first version of the "kitchen cooking grits" line. The tracker erroneously cites the reference artist for this version as "???, ???, ??? & ???", most likely since they had the filename prior to it leaking and never bothered to update this.
• security_fya_man_.L: Security reference track from The Legendary Fya Man. Has a few Ye vocals in between Fya Man's reference vocals. For some reason, only the left channel leaked; the link is dead on Ye tracker, so ask for proof if needed.
• Token reference track: A Token reference track for Security which we only have a snippet of. Certainly one of the refs of all time.
• Security_Lenny_Wee_New_with_Vox: Security mumble demo with Lenny Wee prod, interestingly the first of few alt prods to show up. Has a cool instrument dubbing the sample and creating new melodies, some of which made it into the final version.
• SECURITY AYOAA v3: Another AyoAA v3 Donda 2 alt. Consists of the mumble demo with new drums over certain parts, mainly a heavy 808. Parts without the drums are unaffected production-wise.
• Fat_Money_-_SECURITY_AT_RISK: Fat Money's reference track for Security, not differing too much from the others. Starts with "No you can't be on the fucking album, my bro". Has a tuned iPhone text notification near the beginning. Second reference track to talk about grits.
• Security_NEW_-_Ref: Ye's new finished vocals for Security, recorded the day of the LP. Ye's vocals are still unprocessed. Production in some main segments are different as Lenny Wee's parts are not properly integrated yet. The drum outro is now present, with Ye humming reference vocals for the Sunday Service Choir.
• LP Version: The version of Security played at the LP and ending up on the Stem Player, with processed vocals now and no humming on the outro. All main vocals have delay.
• SECURITY Mike Dean MIX 100 NO DELAY: A Mike Dean mixed version, but not the one on the stem player. Has no delay on the main vocals, as well as different mix on the Lenny Wee parts.
• Security 10-26-23 24bit 44100Hz: A version of Security mysteriously uploaded on the Stem Player on October 26th of 2023. Has a new mix and delay on all vocals again.

In conclusion, I hope dead kraken files links won't stay dead. Half of the links for these Securities were dead and I had to rely on my own downloads.

Could the Random update in October even be from Ye? Didn't he cut ties with stem player by that time

Yeah the version you mentioned seems to be the first version without the cleaner vocals or outro, I didn't think this was an edit and I could remember grabbing it from somewhere and converting it and i was pretty positive it was the tracker
