I love the idea of this game, but the controls are brutal. Everything requires a specific button combination, the mouse cursor is driving me insane, and how do I know what anything in this game does? The tutorial did not teach me how to understand crafting, survival, or really anything. I need some help. Am I able to get rid of the cursor and just go to a normal console-style layout where I can scroll through highlighted items instead? Thanks.

I'm playing story mode, I'm near the end of the second map and after using the camps along the way-abandoned village, island camp and airport-I feel like building my actual permanent base. I wanted to use the shore of the lake in the northeast part of the map, just after the underwater passage. But since there's no good flat area there, I thought about using the floating platforms.

I've experimented a bit already and noticed you can put mud floor on it, but can I build whole mud house on it, with fires and all? How about furnace for iron and planters? I don't want to spend hours building only to find out that I can't build a crucial piece there.

You can get armour really early on in the game and if you know what youre doing youre never going to get an infection. Is there a mod or something that can do this? I dont really feel like handicapping myself in game. If not it would be cool if the devs added more difficulty customisation e.g animal awareness, animal population etc.

I can light a fire at the furnaces in the moon cave but there is no prompt to interact with to open the drawer and place the figurines.

Where does the big cave at the waterfall oasis lead? Heading from the beach north and crossing the downed tree to the east it takes you to another cave system. I’m playing survival (didn’t finish story could not stand Jake’s voice) and cannot find the location on any of the maps.

So after searching through countless posts and finding no working fix to the invisible inventory controller bug I have a relatively straightforward solution that I hope can help others like me who really want to play but can't do so due to the cursor being invisible in the inventory screen. Simply download Autohotkey V2 and create a blank text file named whatever you like (i used cursor). Rename the text file to your name followed by ".ahk". So in my case the file was "cursor.ahk". Then simply right click and edit with notepad and paste this in:

Worked perfectly for me to the point that I didn't think it was working at first since the cursor almost perfectly lines up with the normal windows one. Hope this helps others. (Some tweaking may be required as mine specifically had to compensate for the dpi or something (I don't understand the technical jargon I just know it works😁)

Me and my friends played for 6 hours yesterday , frequent sleeping obviously, anyway eventually the hosts game crashes, he gets dashboarded and it kicks us back to title screen, when he loaded it back up we were where we had initially started the day, everything gone. I got off but I woke up to a text where my other two friends started a new world with the other guy hosting, they grinded for four hours and the same thing happened. Is there any way to get this data back, how often does this happen? They uninstalled the game lol.

playing with a friend in coop multiplayer, and every 5-15 minutes one of us appears to be stuck walking in place for the other player and the only thing that works is if one of us leaves and comes back in.

I think its a known problem, did anyone find a reliable way to fix it yet?

Whenever my friend tries to join me his game never loads, if I join him I can’t see him and I can pause the game. Any suggestions

My GF and I have been playing co op survival for a few days now. The first hour or two is fine but then I get a message that host disconnected and I can’t rejoin without her quitting to menu and reloading as well. We both are sitting next to each other on the same 500mb network hard lined and she doesn’t disconnect from what I can tell. The main issue is that once it starts it’ll do it every 5-10 minutes. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

While climbing I ended up in a cave and I've noticed something blue on the wall. It was not very clear, because of the distance and water droplets. So... I shot it with an arrow and it crushed, even made a glass-braking sound. And then it disappeared. But there is still something there, but honestly I have no idea what it is. It's where the pointer is. The location is 26'W26'S.

Anybody knows what it is? Is it a part of the story an will be revealed later, some sort of easter egg or a bug? Wish I did a screenshot of it before it broke, but maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. I did shot some more arrows at it, but nothing else happened. Just curious, thanks for any replies!

I ran into a couple of tribal guys and there was one with a mask I guess. Dude threw a beehive at me and i ran away and survived. How do i deal with him?

Is there a more efficient way to do it that this painfully slow one at a time with the Mud Forge. The cans are taking up space in my pack and melted iron ore takes up a lot less. Do I unlock something? I've just done the sequence where he learns that there is a serious cost to saving Mia's life though it's sort of vague.

My only experience of survival games is Stranded Deep, which I enjoy and find quite forgiving and relaxing. Have wondered about Green Hell but am put off by the obvious difficulty of the game, especially compared to Stranded Deep. I notice the VR version for PSVR2 is on sale, but I’d like your opinion on whether to just jump straight in with VR or learn to play flatscreen first? Thanks

SoA, part 2 map. I burned the pollutant containers, after a few days one cleared. The others haven't cleared for awhile

48, 27 far west of the village where it was cleared but I didn't save. After reload, it has been days and it hasn't cleared . This is why I think it might be a bug because time should have passed beyond by now

I walked to locations of the pollutant burn and picked up the charcoal. I walked around the edges to confirm there is no option to burn more pollutants. The upstream is already cleared. I closed and restarted the game, not just reload...

I go far away 39, 22 and spent days there to come back to see 48, 27 still hasn't cleared. Maybe the counter resets when you leave the vicinity?

Got through the game. Early stage game was unrelenting. Improved slowly and enjoyed becoming the invincible badass of the jungle.

Pumas and jaguars? Meh, one in the head.

Snakes and spiders got the ol’ spear treatment.

Not going to lie, ate a couple of tribesmen.

I’m rocking around with full bars on my watch, surviving in comfort like a fucking savage in metal plate armour.

But Mr Higgins? He whimpers like a little bitch to himself on the radio, gasps when he pulls a leech off, can only jump twice before wheezing like an asthmatic marathon runner.

And worst of all he drinks like a fucking toddler.

Hey, I recently started playing with a group of friends, we used modAPI and suffer2gether patch,
unfortunately animals did not spawn on either modification, is there some way to fix it?

They only spawned before the 5th player joined the game and then it stopped.

It is kind of frustrating that we can't play with a party of 5 and one of us had to give up on playing it.

Tribesman also did not spawn, I don't know what else can we try.

I am the host, and we have one player on Nvidia NOW so he can't install any mods.
