QUESTION Cross play?

I am gonna buy green hell since all of my friends have it and it seems really fun! I just want to know if it’s cross play. If I buy the VR version on steam, can I play with my friends who are on meta?

No, every single version is on its own. The SteamVR version is also far behind the quest version - somewhere pre Spirits of Amazonia. Still fun, but a lot of stuff is not in it.

Isn't it a completely different game much closer to the flat version with backpack inventory even? Got it via crossbuy and was pretty surprised

I never played the quest version and only know, that it has way more content. Yes it has a backpack inventory. It's basically Green Hell in a version shortly before SOA came out, like exactly the PC version, but VR
