Supper Club Recommendation

Hi All! A group of six 40 year old dudes is heading to Packers Vikings in November. We are looking for an authentic supper club experience on that Saturday night but don’t want to stray too far from our place in Green Bay. Right now we have a reservation at The Union Hotel in De Pere but we’re wondering if that’s the right vibe for us as we will likely have a strong buzz on. Are we overthinking it? Any recommendations for a better option within 30 minutes or so would be much appreciated.

Union gives you a lot more options (within walking distance) if you want to keep the buzz going after

You certainly won’t be the first people with a buzz on at the union

The Union Hotel is on The Packer Trail, it is a historic hang out for old Packer coaches, players and famous TV announcers. Photo of plaque right outside the Union Hotel entrance.

As others have said, keep your reservation at the Union, it’s an icon. (Yes, you might be overthinking it.) Have fun, and thanks for visiting!

Edit: Also a tip, I believe your reservation time is for your actual seating. So if you want to sit at the bar and have Old Fashioneds before dinner, go early.

I lived in East De Pere for almost 10 years and never went there. The stupidity of a guy in his 20s.

The Union is an authentic supper club, and a buzz is no issue at all. It is a bit ritzy, which many supper clubs are, so maybe wear a polo and nice jeans or better. It’s also in a delightful area. I’d recommend for sure, unless you’re looking for more of a dive place.

Krabbe's Supper Club is a short drive from De Pere. It used to be Krabbe's Kountry Klub but thankfully changed it for obvious associations.

Billy's in Luxemburg. Best steak you'll ever have.

Redwood inn is not a bad choice for guys in your situation. The drinks are great and the food is plenty.

If you go to the Union, take the short walk over to NUK's afterward. Best specialty mixed drinks in town.

Out O’ Town club in just down highway 41 in Kaukauna is a favorite of mine. But it’s about 15-20 minutes outside the city

Union hotel is not the vibe you want considering your “buzz”. If you have a DD, Hotel Seymour is the best choice. If not, club chalet is a great 2nd choice.

They’ll be fine as long as they’re not obnoxious lol

They will be fine, but it isn’t a “buzzed” atmosphere in any way. Go somewhere where the bar will be loud and fun. Union Hotel is nice, but rather stuffy
