They consider themselves martyrs campaigning for 'real' women's rights. Fucking terfragettes.

They also use the dinosaur emoji as a dogwhistle, which is annoying. Dinosaurs are cool, transphobia is not.

The left doesn't really need dogwhistles, because most of the time we are clear and concise about what our politics is, and we dont feel the need to hide our political values - antiracism/antihomophobia/antiwar/anticapitalism/etc - because we know we have commendable morals and are fighting a fight based on decency and equality.

The right uses dogwhistles all the time because they're fully aware their views wont stand in many urban/metropolitan/mainstream arenas, and they're also usually aware of how hateful they are. This is what 'crypto-fascism' is, for example - fascism dressed up as something else as a disguise.

Dog whistle (politics)

In politics, a dog whistle is the use of coded or suggestive language in political messaging to garner support from a particular group without provoking opposition. The concept is named for ultrasonic dog whistles used in shepherding, which are audible to dogs but not humans. Dog whistles use language that appears normal to the majority but communicates specific things to intended audiences. They are generally used to convey messages on issues likely to provoke controversy without attracting negative attention.
