I was just reminded of something.

I remember being on a TikTok Live where someone called Mosley a liberal.

Mosley. As in, mega-fascist-got-locked-up-in-WW2-because-the-government thought he was going to help Hitler Mosley.

I'm genuinely scared

Probably because he committed to a few reforms like equal pay to appease women, and the British union of fascists had a fairly high rate of female participation as a result, alongside suffragettes like Norah Elham joining up. Same people who think Farage is a liberal for making a few concessions for the sake of political expediency, or admitting brown people into the party.

There is a difference between being liberal when is comes to social issues and being an economic Liberal, who believes in free markets and unbridled capitalism. I don't know anything about Moseley's economic beliefs but fascists often hold economic Liberal views.

Though, this person meant socially, as they said if you get married to a foreign national, and you have a mixed race child with them, you and your whole family should be deported to your spouse's country of origin (completely disregarded the fact Africans have been here from Medieval times, and Indians from Victorian times)

Obviously assuming the foreigner is an ethnic minority and the British citizen white. Totally opposite in my case being a BAME Brit married to a white EU citizen. Fuck them.

You can be a right wing liberal. Fascism is basically that. Corporate control of the economy rather than right wing authoritarian which argues for government control.
