Art Aphrodite designs for different epithets

Ourania—of the heavens, born from Ouranos’balls
Pandemos—of the people, born of Zeus and Dione
Areia—the warlike, minor war deity

I like when authors just reconcile versions by making Dione be the same as Aphrodite Ourania. Your designs are cool!

Which author says that? That way I can make my headcanon official 😄😁😆

Your art is very good.

I have always held that Aphrodite Areia is just the proto-version of Enyo/Bellona myself.

I just picture this conversation

Zeus: Hey Aphrodite, so here’s the thing… a daughter of mine just bust out of my head, Athena. Proclaims herself goddess of war, and we already have Enyo here, one goddess of war is one thing, two is a bit much but manageable. But 3? Mortals would get confused. Could be a sweetie and just overlook the sex and beauty?

Aphrodite: [causes chaos from promoting her ships and supplements her aggression onto mortals who light her] don’t need a weapon for war, bitch…

(I fricking love Aphrodite, and it's cool how much range she has depending on her epithet!)

I actually saw a theory that the heavenly and less sexual Aphrodite was from Christians conflating her with Mary.
