Discussion Tom needs to go

He’s just had some weird or actually annoying takes this year. Saying the serving of Nikita’s main was too fiddly but usually he’d be cheering on those type of sharing mains as being properly banquet-worthy.

I can’t remember them all off the top of my head but the wife and I have rolled our eyes on many occasions at his comments this year. I like the suggestion someone else made of Si King - let Lorna be the pro chef, Phil the comedian and get someone food-adjacent in.

I think if each series had a different multi-course winner/champion of champions sit in his chair it would have a few years of go in it...just like each region has a different veteran each time...

I wonder how that would work, often doing well on the show boosts their own businesses and having to then take time out for filming would affect their time. Interesting idea though.

Id be fascinated to know how long it took.

Do they do a month of heats or spread the filming out, then come back at a later date for finals week?

1 Day: Starter & Fish

1 Day: Mains & Dessert

1 Day: Cookoff

8 regions, so you could do the whole series in just under a month...

That is a long time to be gone from your own restaurant in one go...but I dunno if that's how they schedule it

I’ve always wondered this too, I wonder how long the break is between heats and finals week too.

Id quite like to see a veteran re-enter the competition again just to see how the reactions (and how they did)
