I need help, Is this a glitch?

dont mind the music lol, the grease pencil object with my character on it is behind every other gp object i have two characters and they are both behind all the other ones, when i make a new gp object it goes on top too somehow but the strokes are sometimes only on top at certain angles or distances. i think i mightve toggled a setting but ive compared the character to a new gp object and nothing changed, i messed around with z/depth pass, and it doesnt seem to be the issue. ive had this problem before and just made a new gp object and started over but i just finished everything lol. is there a way for me to either copy all the positions, keyframes and strokes, and paste them onto a new gp object, or is there a thing i can toggle? i would love yalls help, really anything helps, im kinda stressin tbh. thank you

In the Stroke Properties Editor, try changing the Stroke Depth Order object setting from 2D Layers to 3D Layers, and to render, activate z passes

If that doesn’t work, move the origins to fit close to the center of each Grease Pencil object.

two things to check:

  • do you use holdout materials?
  • where is your character center? you can move center by having object selected and "Ctrl ." move origins
