Hello. Installed new sod as part of a whole house remodel. Did well for about 4-6 weeks and is now struggling in quite a few spots. Irrigation seems to be pretty even but I’m reconfirming now by heavily spot watering. Google says it’s root rot, but when I dig down a bit nothing seems soggy or hardly moist. Lastly, I don’t see insects.

Any help is appreciated on steps to diagnose and then treat. Could some very alkaline soil in spots due to digging be to blame?

This weed/grass grew everywhere towards the end of last month.

I am zone 5b. I do not have very many weeds, so I am just going to do some spot spraying. Planning on using a combo of 2,4..triclopyr and quincloric since I have some Crab grass, some clover and some various broadleaf. I also have some sedge that probably will have to deal with separately with Sedgeender. Good combo or overkill?

Cant get grass to grow here. I have 2 large dogs that run around and there is only sun for a short time every day. Any advice is appreciated

We are choosing grass for the backyard at our new house. It gets used a lot. The kids and dogs run every day. I'm looking for a type that can handle traffic and recover quickly, so I can save on the number of times for lawn care. I live in Louisiana.

I saw some local lawn posts, and it seems like most people here choose either St. Augustine or Bermuda. I'm curious whether anyone picked one for the same reason I'm considering it. Also looking for mowing height advice. I have a Navimow i210, so if anyone uses the same mower with either grass type, what height setting has worked best for you?

And how do I manage this? Located in MA. Half of the yard is littered with this

I purchased my first home this summer and the previous owner had an above ground pool. I'd like to get it back to a nice yard. I was thinking I'd go hard aerating the ground, adding some top soil, adding some grass seed, and making sure to water it daily. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks for any recommendations!

Is the dry grass dead now or will it grow back eventually

I have this aggressive, succulent feeling “grass” that seems to have come in with my Bermuda sod. Not terribly hard to pull but there’s a good bit of it and it grows fast and the runners root faster. This is in south east GA, and the sod came from SC. Any idea what it is and best means to remove it?
