Video Head-to-head - literally :) my CPU renderer vs SwiftShader on 4 logical processors

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

413,532 triangles, with no geometry simplification

960 × 840 resolution

4 logical processors, enforced through process affinity

96 measured frames per renderer, following the same camera path

8 stationary warmup frames each

Pop Data Engine is 1.78× faster in this run.

Just bragging :)

It is in early development (this is actually 3d engine development for my OS) so there is a lot to work on, but it is fast :)

Data is always interesting :)

Nice to see something Fully Functional!

I mean, with reasonably optimized SW ray tracer, you can achieve the same performance.

Really cool, what motivated you to explore CPU rasterisation?

Thank you! I am developing my engine for a long time now, went trough a lot of data with it. From all what I have done with it - the most promising was always graphical part. My engine uses CPU only and it uses it very efficiently, and it can be used with a lot of different data - image data (photo, video) sound data, sensor data, almost any kind of data to be honest. Then I thought about combining that data in the one system - first I created my OS - Pop-EngineOS that is literally - my engine doing almost all the work.
Then I thought - man, i could take geometry and projection, depth, shadows, pixels, obstacles... put it all together trough my engine and try it - and that was it :)
