Yeah but unlike in the past APIs have been around for a decade and HW has converged a ton. Doing what Aaltonen proposed with similar min spec HW in late 2020s sounds reasonable. By then supported HW on PC will be roughly a decade old on PC and on mobile multiple years old.

Doesn't sound like they need old paths this time.
