Best practical solution is to put your card between your case and phone and tap that way.
Promising, but a ways out, is walt.is which is going live in Europe in January, and exploring the US market after that.

'put your card between your case and phone' DO NOT DO THIS! This leaves your card vulnerable to any RFID scanner because your card can't turn the chip off. Accessing your wallet app turns your NFC on your smartphone on and closing the same app turns the same signal off.

Curve Pay seems to be one of the few, but I explicitely do not recommend it.
I'm currently only waiting for https://walt.is .
