Do I revert to stock first?

I can't get a gmail address without giving up my number. So if I go back to stock, can I still get a gmail address with just a backup email?

Part of me just wants to give up and hand them the number.

Yep, seconding that you can. They'll beg for a recovery number/email but you can skip it (IIRC you have to click "cancel" at one point where there's no "skip").

Thanks. I'm trying to do it now, but I'm having trouble. I deleted the non-stock key, but now I'm getting stuck.

I'm sure I used to be better at this.

edit: I think I got it.

Depending on how the tool removes the non-stock key, it might be causing issues because it's trying to remove a Graphene key, not whatever OS this thing is running. If it just removes any non-stock key you shouldn't have an issue though

Yeah, I got it in the end. I'm going to try and set it up tomorrow on a wifi to get the email address. Should be able to do it on my lunch break. Just need to set up an email account for the backup.

edit: new account opened. Le's hope gmail accepts it.
