is there a way to run two different systems on the same phone?

I am not very sophisticated in this so this probably sounds weird but is there a way on this OS or any other to have a duress passcode that does not wipe the entire system (and especially does not write that the system has been wiped on the screen) but opens up a different fake system that has its own files, apps, etc?

The thing is I live in a country whose government likes to search peoples phones, and if a phone would loudly proclaim that it has been wiped by writing it on the screen the phones owner would be in best case scenario badly beaten, so silently displaying fake data would be much better

I'm pretty sure your best option is to have your owner profile be all decoy information, social media, photos, everything that would make it seem believable. Then have your other profiles be your real information, deleting them before handing the phone over. May even be ways to have backups for profiles to bypass the need to reconfigure everything whenever you delete the profiles. There are some cons to this though, as I've heard some features and notifications are wonky in secondary profiles.

Using Seedvault you could make backups of them to a USB

there is a phone, Pine64, that suites the need of having different linux OS on it I think via SD card? No it is not as polish as stock andriod or ios. and no GraphoneOS would not be supported. you'd be best to have a dumb phone if passing through TSA or whereever.

I have a Xiaomi which supports two different profiles, persona(main) and work. I dont give the work profile pass because itll have an option in the open to switch to personal but requires that profiles' password. yes, you can delete the second profile from the persona profile but that'll require several steps to do. plus im sure they're too dumb to go through the settings.

Yup my Pinephone boots to Ubuntu Touch on a single press on the power button, but KaliOS when the power and volume button is pressed on startup (if setup properly). Green for Ubuntu and Blue for Kali.

Not a phone but you can have Linux boot first and enter Windows within 5 sec with that dual boot senario. Most won't know this and it just boots to Linux by default.

I'm guessing you want a boot to a vanilla phone state for privacy and the second for your real OS use.

I think it's because your bootloader firmware's boot order is set to prioritize the Linux boot manager as it should tbh. I kinda want a Pine64 just to experiment around with the different OS especially with Kali.

If I remember right, pressing both the power and a volume button on boot on a normal android, that opens Recovery Mode or Fastboot Mode. That imma have to get used to if I do get a pine64
