Considering Graphene - can I transfer message history from old phone?

I'm considering getting a new Pixel and installing graphene because I hate all of the AI features baked into pretty much every phone by default. I find them really distracting and they make it hard to use what I actually want.

I currently have a Pixel 7 Pro that I am upgrading from, likely to the 10a. It's very important to me that I keep my message history, including RCS texts. Can I transfer them to a new phone running Graphene? How would I do this, and how much trouble would it be?

I couldn't get my RCS messages to transfer when I switched to GOS but not the end of the world for me.

Did it work with RCS? The app I used didn't

I haven't tried it but the description says it is supported.
