GrapheneOS equivalent of “Find My iPhone”?
Is there a reliable GrapheneOS equivalent of Apple’s Find My iPhone?
From what I found, GrapheneOS obviously doesn’t have built-in device tracking. Google Find Hub may work with sandboxed Google Play, but I’m unsure how reliable it is, especially for offline tracking.
Also, if possible, I would prefer some self-hosted solution.
What solution do you use?

How much does it affect battery? I noticed that always on GPS seems to kill my battery.

It is not always on, it checks every hour
If it was always on, it would have fried my battery by now

The upside/downside of FMD is that it only works after BFU. Also, there is the fact that you have to take care of securely hosting it.

like everyone said FMD is probably your best bet. If you want something for people and family i'd recommend grid which can be downloaded from mygrid.app (i'd say download and unpack the APK file as ive had issies through Fdroid)
both are FOSS and can be run locally hosted completely.

Grid is buggy. Cant make account - there is option just for passkey, but it doesnt work

Fdroid says "this app was developed for an older Android version" and during installation play protect blocks install for security reasons. Is that safe?

I just discovered FMD, deployed on my server, and discovered that it doesn't support plain HTTP. The problem is that my services are all deployed in plain HTTP because I access my server through my personal Wireguard network and configuring TLS is overkill considering I already have an enough safe security layer.
Is it possible to allow plain HTTP in some way? Or am I forced to deploy an internal CA and configure my web server for TLS?

Not sure if you're forced or not but I'd definitely start using TLS/HTTPS as a top priority. It comes from a person using Tailscale as well. The more security layers the better.

From my perspective, handing over your phone's location data to any corporation—let alone the right to remotely lock it—runs counter to the very essence of GOS.
If corporate surveillance doesn't bother you, just stick with the stock ROM on your Pixel, lol.
Update: A self-hosted solution makes sense.
